Application for Aircat Aerial Yoga  Level 1 Teacher Training

Please note that we offer a “Certificate of Completion” upon meeting the requirements. We are not certified by any governing body and therefore cannot give you, or call our training a “Certification” course. My goal is to give you the knowledge and information to safely and successfully offer aerial yoga classes as part of your program.

Cathy Gauch has been an aerial performer, teacher, coach and producer for over 20 years. She has performed around the world in production stage shows, corporate events, galas and benefits. She teaches aerial arts to children and adults and has started numerous circus camps and aerial programs.

Aircat Aerial Yoga began development in early 2009. She’s successfully used aerial yoga in her recovery from injuries she sustained in a car accident later that year. She continues to develop the program, offering classes, workshops and teacher trainings at the Boulder Circus Center.

Lani Gordon Level 1 & Level 2 Co-Trainer has been with the Aircat Aerial Yoga Teacher Training program since its’ inception in 2011 and is an inspired and dedicated teacher and performer in a variety of movement arts.  She is a 250 hour RYT registered with Yoga Alliance, a licensed massage therapist in CO, and a Certified Nutritional Counselor through Bauman College.  She has also trained extensively in aerial yoga, dance, fire dance, aerial arts, and partner acrobatics.  She has performed around the country with a variety of companies and musicians including, Quixotic Fusion, Cirque USA, The String Cheese Incident, Cosmic Fire, Emancipator, MoTH Poetic Circus, and Future Simple Project.   One of her favorite things in life is sharing these passions with others.  In the last three years she has been teaching many forms of movement art to a vast variety of people around the country.  She currently teaches for Aircat Aerial Yoga, Boulder Circus Center and the Quixotic School of Performing Arts.  With her broad knowledge of movement arts and health, she offers a unique experience in each of her classes and performances.  Lani’s goal is to bring joy into other’s lives through the exploration of what we are capable of in our bodies.  She strives to make dreams a reality and help others to discover that anything is possible.

Jocelynn Rudig - Level 1 Co-Trainer has been co-teaching Aircat Aerial Yoga Teacher Trainings since March 2012.  She loves the combination of aerial and yoga for its ability to use the fabric as an aid and a prop to gain deeper access to each pose and for its use of gravity to lengthen the muscles and joints in the body. Jocelynn became a 200-hour Registered Yoga Alliance yoga instructor in 2008 and a certified GYROKINESIS® instructor in 2005. She brings her knowledge of yoga postures, integrative body alignment and hands on assistance to each student. She has been a professional modern and aerial dancer since 2000, touring locally and internationally.  When she is not hanging up-side-down, Jocelynn enjoys crafting her own herbal remedies as a Wellness Practitioner and Certified Herbalist.

Aircat training was focused or correct technique and alignment w/ safety being utmost. All skills were taught in a progressive, sequential manner, I would encourage anyone who wants to learn the true form of aerial to attend workshop. Amazing job, well thought out and planned. Incredible physical and spiritual journey for myself, being surrounded with students from all over the country who each had knowledge to contribute. I will be back!” -Susie Stevens

“This was an excellent course and I had so much fun! The team/staff are organized, professional, and friendly. For the efficiency and cost I would recommend this to any aerialist or studio looking to incorporate hammocks into their training. I will definitely be back!” - Ranee M David

“I decided to take this training to increase my knowledge in aerial hammock/yoga skills so that I could strengthen my own practice. But I’m coming away with a desire to teach, explore, and share a new realized passion. Cathy, and her co-teachers are incredibly professional, knowledgeable, sweet, and fun. can’t wait for training #2!” -Maureen Fiore
