Did you ever play on the monkey bars at school when you were six years old? Well, so did I. That was the beginning of my aerial career. It continued in the gymnastics gym until I came to my senses as an adolescent and decided that I no longer wanted to take the chance of cracking my head open (eww!) on a four inch wide piece of wood. (You know what I mean, a balance beam.) So, I threw myself into dancing (on the ground) until I discovered the best of both worlds at the Colorado Dance Festival in 1988…The Trapeze.


I began my professional career as an original company member with Frequent Flyers Productions, Inc. It was with FFP that my dreams became a reality and my destiny began to come into focus. I went on to become a founder of Aerial Artistry of Aspen. For six years I was given the opportunity to teach aerial arts to children. It was here that I finally had a space to explore my vision of aerial entertainment. Over the years, I built my aerial knowledge by adding single trapeze, ropes, fabric, hoops, bungees, swings, and straps, into my repertoire. Now, as director of Aircat Aerial Arts, I develop aerial acts and perform in dance concerts, corporate venues, and showrooms internationally.


Aircat Aerial Arts is a dynamic performance company that creates world class aerial entertainment. Trapeze, hoops, ropes, bungees, and fabric are used to create cutting edge artistic performances. My name is Cathy and this is my dream.
